The Resource-Light Living 2045 project uses scientific modelling and active citizen participation to identify innovative living environments for sustainable resource consumption. The models take into account different living environments – from urban to rural, from young to old. Specific levers such as housing, mobility and nutrition are examined in order to develop feasible scenarios for resource-efficient living. The current situation is considered, along with possible changes through infrastructure transformation, and it is calculated whether necessary and feasible models of living will match in 2045. Change only works together. In an interactive process, citizens contribute their wishes, ideas and perspectives. The focus is particularly on households with high resource consumption.
