Public Service Design

The Seneca.gov Sector Network offers GIZ employees a platform for regional and technical knowledge sharing, collaborative learning and innovation with the aim of improving the quality of project implementation. Politics for Tomorrow has developed a course in ‘Public Service Design’ in this project. The course, which comprised 7 full workshop days both online and onsite and further intensive support for the almost 20 participants, had three learning objectives.

  1. Understanding the concept of public service design and how it differs from other service design methods such as design thinking.
  2. Applying the methods and understanding when to apply them.
  3. A basic understanding of how a public service design process can be managed with public employees.
